The Kansas City Chiefs are set to go up against the Seattle Seahawks in their second preseason game. Patrick Mahomes and Co. are coming off a third straight Super Bowl appearance. They lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59 earlier this year.
As the Chiefs gear up for their second outing of the season, let’s explore if they will have the services of three-time Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes.

Will Patrick Mahomes Play Tonight vs. Seahawks?
Mahomes threw a one-yard pass touchdown in the preseason opener in a 20-17 loss vs. Arizona Cardinals. The Chiefs’ head coach, Andy Reid, doesn’t seem keen on sending the six-time Pro Bowler on the gridiron on Friday either.
“There’s a good chance he doesn’t, we’ll see how it goes,” Reid told the media ahead of the clash when asked about Mahomes’ participation against the Seahawks.

Reid also hinted at keeping his starters away from action on Wednesday.
“There’s a chance I sit a couple of the starters or at least be short with them,” Reid said. “We want to make sure we get a good look at these young guys, so we’ll just see how it all rolls going forward.”
It is highly unlikely for Mahomes to play in Friday’s preseason game. But it cannot be ruled out that the three-time Super Bowl champion might suit up to throw some passes.
