Chiefs Hollywood Brown Reveals Major Details About Rondale Moore’s Death

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Hollywood Brown was heartbroken after hearing about the passing of Minnesota Vikings WR Rondale Moore. The duo played alongside each other for two years with the Arizona Cardinals.

The 25-year-old was found dead on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in his hometown of New Albany, Indiana. Moore was found in a garage in his hometown of New Albany, Indiana, according to reports from the Floyd County Coroner and New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey.

Authorities reported that preliminary investigation signals towards a potential self-inflicted g*nsh*t wound. They have an autopsy scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 2025, to confirm the official cause of death.

Hollywood Browns Shares Shocking Details About Rondale Moore’s Death

Brown shared three posts on X following Moore’s passing. With the first one, he revealed that he talked to Moore a few hours before the 25-year-old passed away.

“Bro ain’t no way brotha you just messaged me few hours ago 😢,” Brown wrote.

Just 30 minutes later, the wide receiver posted another tweet.

“You wasn’t alone bro.. I told you I know how you feel,” Brown wrote.

In another tweet over two hours later, Brown shared how he has always been trying to help Moore get through his pain. The Chiefs WR shared a screenshot of a text he sent to Moore.

“Praying for you brother 🙏🏾 sometimes in life when stuff don’t go as planned as frustrating as it may be have to always remember God is in control, his plan will always prevail all we can do is trust him and always remember someone has it worse,” Brown wrote in his message on August 11. “I’m here if you ever need to talk bro I know how shit feel it sucks dawg but knowing you , you built for this don’t give up 💪🏾,”

Rondale Moore’s NFL Career

The Arizona Cardinals selected Rondale Moore with the 49th overall pick in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He signed his four-year rookie contract on June 9, 2021.

As a rookie in 2021, Moore appeared in 14 games and caught 54 passes for 435 yards (8.1 average, 77 long) and one touchdown. He added 18 rushes for 76 yards, returned 13 kickoffs for 291 yards (22.4 average), and handled 21 punt returns for 171 yards (8.1 average). He fumbled three times and lost one.

Moore battled injuries again in 2022, playing eight games and finishing with 41 receptions for 414 yards (10.1 average, 38 long) and one touchdown. He also logged six carries for minus-five yards and saw limited action in the return game.

In 2023, he played all 17 games and totaled 40 receptions for 352 yards (8.8 average, 48 long) and one touchdown. He chipped in 28 rushing attempts for 178 yards (6.4 average, 45 long) and a score, along with one punt return for 11 yards.

The Cardinals traded Moore to the Atlanta Falcons in March 2024 for quarterback Desmond Ridder, but he suffered a knee injury in training camp and missed the entire season.
