Is Travis Kelce Playing Today in Chiefs vs. Bears Week 3 Preseason Game?

Travis Kelce is entering the 13th and probably the final year of his much-decorated NFL career. The Kansas City Chiefs’ head coach, Andy Reid, rested his key starters in last week’s clash against the Seahawks.

The Chiefs are yet to register a win in the preseason. They lost 20-17 to the Arizona Cardinals in the preseason and then suffered a 33-16 loss last week against the Seahawks. Will Reid field the 10-time Pro Bowler in the preseason finale to enter the regular season on a high?

Will Travis Kelce Play Today vs. Bears?

Travis Kelce played just three snaps and completed no receptions against the Arizona Cardinals in the preseason opener. He did not suit up for the fixture against the Seahawks. But, Reid shared some good news for the tight end’s fans. The Chiefs HC is set to field his starters on Friday.

“Start. I’m going to just play it by ear. They’ll start it off. We’ll just see how it goes from there,” Reid said.

Travis Kelce is disappointed with his performance in the past two seasons and would aim to bounce back this year. This might be his final dance in the NFL and he would fancy capping off his career with another Super Bowl. He looks a lot leaner and has reportedly lost 25 lbs.

Patrick Mahomes, who has played only one snap in the preseason, will also start on Friday. The Chiefs have taken precautionary measures to avoid any major injury. Some snaps in the last outing before the regular season kicks off will allow the players to try some schemes and get into rhythm.
