As per multiple reports, DE Sam Williams will join Dante Fowler as the starter in Philadelphia. The Cowboys are coming off a disappointing 7-10 season and would hope to make a deep run to the postseason. Micah Parsons was in the final year of his contract with Dallas and was seeking a bigger contract with the franchise. The trade saga went on for the whole offseason before the two parties parted ways.
Micah Parsons attended every walkthrough and practice session but didn’t participate in any, citing back issues. He requested a trade earlier this month and skipped the whole preseason. He was spotted lying down on a training table during the preseason finale.
Things continued to get worse between Jones and Micah Parsons in August. Parsons got traded to Green Bay, where he inked a four-year, $188 million contract extension with the franchise. The deal made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL. He is set to make his debut with the Packers against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, September 7.
