Shedeur Sanders Reveals Major Off-Field Issue in Cleveland

Shedeur Sanders was selected in the fifth round at No. 144 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. Despite spending a year in Cleveland, the quarterback is struggling with an off-field issue.

ItsKingSlime’s X handle shared a video of Sanders complaining about barber issues in Cleveland.

“I need a haircut still. I still haven’t found a barber in Cleveland still. The thing is, see, come here. There’s a difference. I haven’t found a barber in Cleveland still, because sometimes, whenever I’m just not a big spray guy. So it’d be hard for me to see work, and all I see is spray.” Sanders said.

“What I’m saying is when I look on their Instagram and I’m like, oh, is Barbar good or not? I don’t know because it’s spray. But I’m saying my edge is already small and the only person with a smaller edge over me could possibly be Paul George. Outside of him, that’s it.”

Shedeur Sanders’ Rookie Season With the Cleveland Browns

Sanders began his rookie season behind veteran Joe Flacco and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. But, eventually earned the starting nod in Week 12. He made his debut on November 16 against the Baltimore Ravens after Dillon Gabriel suffered an injury. Sanders threw 4 completions of 16 passes for 47 yards and an interception in a loss.

He had a breakout in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans. Despite a 29–31 loss, Sanders threw for 364 yards and three touchdowns while adding a rushing TD.

Todd Monken on Shedeur Sanders’ Starting Role For 2026

Todd Monken, who took over the Browns’ head coach role after Kevin Stefanski‘s firing, addressed Cleveland’s QB room situation during his introductory press conference.

“Well, I think like any position on the team, that’s still to be determined,” Todd Monken said. “Am I excited about Shedeur? Am I excited about all the quarterbacks in the room? Am I excited to coach this football team? Absolutely. I can’t wait for them to get back for us to get started.”

The Browns finished the 2025 season with a 5-12 record. Sanders aims to lead his team to a deep playoff run in the upcoming season.
